We re-upholster all antique furniture using traditional methods and, where possible, we will retain the existing filling materials present. We use traditional materials which are matched as closely as possible to the originals used, including traditional webbings, cone springs, hair (pig and horse), waddings and hessions to achieve authenticity. By using traditional methods we are able to restore antique furniture back to it’s former glory.
We can also produce new furniture, to your specifications using these traditional methods and all our furniture is carefully hand crafted ensuring that any style of reproduction furniture is built to last. Unfortunately today, most modern furniture is mass produced using cheaper materials, which only last a few years. Why not contact us to find out how we can help you create that special piece of furniture – unique to you – that will last for many years to come.
Commercial Upholstery
We undertake all types of commercial upholstery and so far have completed contracts for pubs, clubs, offices, schools and doctors surgeries. As well as curtains and window dressings, we have a large range of water proof fabrics, ideal for both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
In order to comply with stringent fire regulations we have a large range of Crib 5 fire retardant fabrics which are suitable for seating areas, window dressings and vertical or roller blinds. We also stock fire proofing spray which can be used to bring existing furniture, carpets and curtains in line with the Crib 5 fire regulations. We also provide a range of fabrics, which are suitable for healthcare and medical environments, which are anti-bacterial and anti MRSA approved and are suitable for all curtains and upholstery products.
Domestic Upholstery
We undertake all types of domestic upholstery such as loose seat covers, dining chairs, three piece suites and wing chairs. We use quality products and materials in order to give a professional finish and have an extensive range of fabrics for customers to choose from.
Re-upholstery allows you to add that personal touch, while also giving your furniture a new lease of life, by choosing your own style and colour of fabric to ensure your furniture is unique to you. Many people have items of furniture which look worn and past their best, but structurally the frames are strong and as good as new. In most cases, simply having the furniture recovered is all that is needed. It is also the cheaper option and the most environmentally friendly too.
